Angel Dust by Blackstone Labs Review Pre-Workout
So what is it? Well it’s Blackstone lab’s “extreme” pre-workout. With a name like Angel Dust Pre Workout it better be extreme! So let’s find out what makes it so extreme in the breakdown.
Although Angel Dust is no longer available, you still get that same rush, checkout Blackstone Lab’s DUST X!
Breakdown
First off we have Creatine Monohydrate. I’m glad they stuck with Monohydrate because it is the King of creatine.
We have Taurine, it has a positive effect on cardiovascular in general.
Next up we have Beta-Alanine. It increases carnosine which is basically going to help reduce the onset of fatigue and it’s also an antioxidant.
We have L tyrosine, increases noradrenaline as well as dopamine so mood elevation and focus in the gym.
We have something called Mucuna Pruriens. It’s a source in L-dopa which is a precursor to dopamine, again with the whole mood/ focus piece of the puzzle in your pre work out.
Now we have D-Aspartic Acid, it’s different to find in a pre-workout and I like it because it has actually been shown to do what it says it does. And that is increase testosterone production naturally of course.
Next up we have Agmatine sulfate. It’s a neuroprotective of sorts and also helps with the blood flow to pump complex.
We have Betaine, which aids in lean muscle mass.
Next caffeine, your Green Tea, you have AMP citrate which is basically a really strong stimulant. It has similar properties to DMAA and is really up there in the stimulant class.
N-Methyl-Tyramine which basically increases insulin secretion which is why on the label on the packaging, it talks about a absorption rate unlike any other. When we have insulin released in the body, it’s going up-take everything that’s in there, glucose and all that good stuff.
So I like for a pre-work, 8.5 out of 10 for ingredients.
Angel Dust Pre-Workout: Mixability
This is the blue sky flavor… Mixability eh it’s a little foamy so 8/10. If you watched some of my other videos, you know I don’t like a lot of foam in my drink, I’m not drinking a beer here! It’s a pre-work gotta be down and out.
Angel Dust Pre-Workout: Taste
I’ll let it settle a bit before I taste it. 8.5 out of 10 for taste. Ever had those frozen pops you stick in the freezer with all the different colors and flavors? It taste like the blue ice pop one.
Unfortunately with my working out hours being so early in the morning or so later at the night, I don’t have anybody to ask to film some sets. For now I’ll just tell you about my experience:
Kick-In Factor
So the Kick-In Factor for Angel dust was immediately like 10-15 minutes, I was ready to go!
Went into the gym, I had my chest, shoulder and tries workout in that order. What I found was my energy was consistent all the way through. I did notice a little bit of crash about an hour after my workout in the evening but I’m not really worried about the crash since it’s time to unwind anyway.
Effectiveness
So for Effectiveness that gets a 9 out of 10. I was really impressed just with what it is designed to do -to give you energy and focus and stamina and endurance!
That brings the overall score of Angel dust to an 8.5 out of 10.
