What Is Kush Rush & How Does It Compare?
What Is Kush Rush & How Does It Compare?
Introducing the fat burner giving fat burners a whole new classification, Kush Rush. What’s so special about Kush Rush? Easy. Kush Rush is our first feel-good fat burner with Phenibut. Now the concept of a feel-good fat burner isn’t new. It’s one of the ways rate a fat burner. But, for more info on Phenibut and how Kush Rush compares to other feel-good fat burners, you’ll have to keep reading!
The Breakdown:
First things first, we need to address the elephant in the room. The label. If you’ve already tried Kush Rush (let us know how you like it), you may have noticed the label isn’t the same. It used, to have both a Kush blend and a Rush Blend. This totaled up to a whopping 1306 mg of active ingredients. This review and comparison are based on the newest formula (the one below & and the one we carry).
Looking at this label, you don’t see anything crazy intense. It’s a more mild formula, but because of the prop blend, we can’t distinguish how much of each ingredient is in the formula. Outside of the phenibut of course which displayed on the front of the bottle. It’s labeled as “Phenibuzz”, but the badge indicates that there is 750 mg of Phenibut per serving (2 caps).
This allows 356 mg to the other ingredients. Which matches the previous Rush Blend. So it’s possible that the only blend altered is the Kush blend, but we can’t say for sure.
Where’s the Energy?
As we mentioned, Kush Rush is a “feel good” fat burner. But, it doesn’t mean it’s lacking in the energy department. Our stimulants consist of Caffeine, Guarana Seed Extract, Green Tea Extract, Yohimbine HCl, and Rauwolfia Vomitoria. So in other words, everything after Phenibut has stimulant properties.
What is a stimulant property?
Stimulants often all share basic properties:
- They Promote An Energy Boost
- Increase Appetite Suppression
- Improve Mood
- & Kick Start Lipolysis
Of course, there are exceptions and variations in potencies. That’s why drinking a cup of coffee and taking a fat burner or pre workout can have a very different feel. In Kush Rush, although we have a great mix of stimulants, we wouldn’t say this blend is particularly strong. If you’re looking for a high energy fat burner, we’d recommend checking out Psycho Pharma’s other fat burner Far Beyond Driven.
The Ingredients
The 5 ingredients that make Kush Rush a fat burner are very common in fat burners.
- Caffeine Anhydrous
Caffeine is one stimulant you see in almost every fat burner. It can be listed as a bunch of different names, but Caffeine Anhydrous is the most common in supplements. Anhydrous means without water. So caffeine anhydrous is a processed, dehydrated form of caffeine. So why do we like caffeine in a fat burner?
Caffeine is great for increasing/improving metabolism, appetite suppression, energy, mood and even cognitive functions like memory. (1)
- Guarana Seed Extract
While Guarana Seed Extract has it’s own set of benefits, it’s also standardized to 22% caffeine. So you’re getting the fat burning effects through this mechanism. (2)
- Green Tea Extract
There is a ton of research on Green Tea’s effect on weight loss. Some of the more recognized benefits include: (3)
- Improving your body’s efficiency at burning calories
- Improve exercise performance
- Reduce visceral (belly fat) and inflammation
- Yohimbine HCl
There are a couple of ways yohimbine functions. The main way is through blocking alpha-2 adrenergic receptors located in fat cells. Once yohimbine has bound with a fat cell, it “turns off” the alpha receptor. Which allows the fat cells to mobilize and burn off. (4, 5)
- Rauwolfia Vomitoria
One of the alkaloids of Rauwolfia Vomitoria is yohimbine. Because of this, it shares similar effects. Including its thermogenic properties. But, what makes Rauwolfia Vomitoria special is that it doesn’t raise blood pressure. In fact, it was actually used to treat hypertension. (6)
What To Expect
As you can imagine by looking at the formula, Kush Rush is definitely not a stimulant heavy formula. So if you’re looking for a high energy fat burner you may not like Kush Rush. But that doesn’t mean the energy isn’t there. The energy you can expect is more like a feel-good, long-lasting kind of energy. That “feel-good” aspect comes from the phenibut, which had been promoted as an anti-anxiety remedy.
The product as a whole isn’t going to relieve anxiety or stress, instead, you may feel more zoned in. This is one of Kush Rush’s more notable features, the focus properties, and what we would suggest for someone looking for a focus aid. As a fat burner, you may find other products more effective, but we wouldn’t count out Kush Rush.
What Do Other’s Say?
- Potent stuff Review by Thomas
2 was to much but one is just right as my morning coffee replacement and will last me 2 months. I was sweating like crazy doing deadlifts after taking 2 so I been sticking to one and does the trick (Posted on 6/7/2019)
- Awesome- loved it Review by Simon
Love this stuff. A really soothing type of high. An unusual blend of relaxation from the pheni and buzz from the caffeine. Always have a great day on these and end with a solid sleep. Highly recommended (Posted on 5/27/2019)
What’s Similar?
If you’re not sure if Kush rush is for you there are other products that share similar ingredients. In this post, we will be covering Oxy Xtreme, China White, and Far Beyond Driven.
Oxy Xtreme
- Caffeine Anhydrous
- Eria Jarensis Extract
- Dimethylethanolamine Bitartrate
- Theobromine
- Guarana Seed Extract
- Yohimbine HCL
- Rauwolfia Vomitoria
- Hordenine HCL
- Huperzene A
As you can see in the checklist above, Oxy Xtreme contains 4 out of 6 Kush Rush ingredients. What it lacks is the Green Tea Extract and Phenibut, so this fat burner won’t have as much of “feel good ” energy like Kush Rush.
Although Oxy Xtreme doesn’t contain Phenibut, it is still considered a mood-boosting fat burner. This is due to ingredients like Eria Jarnesis Extract and Dimethylethanolamine Bitartrate (DMAE). Both these ingredients play a role in boosting your mood, but Eria Jarensis extract is also a potent stimulant, while DMAE is great for promoting other cognitive functions.
Overall, Oxy Xtreme has more stimulants in its formula, making it a more powerful energy booster. The downside of that is it may cause some jitters for stimulant sensitive people.
China White
- Caffeine Usp
- White Willow extract
- Ephedra Viridis
- Rhodiola Rosea Root Powder
- Citrus Aurantium Seed Extract
- Yohimbe Bark Powder
- Guarana Seed Powder
- Irvignia Gabonesis Seed Powder
- Green Coffee Bean Powder
- Raspberry Ketones
- Olive Leaf Powder
Our next similar fat burner is China White. This fat burner contains the least amount of shared ingredients, and they include some variations. All in all, there are 3 ingredients shared between China White and Kush Rush. However, instead of Guarana Seed Extract and Yohimbine HCl, it contains Guarana Seed Powder and Yohimbe Bark Powder. The Guarana Seed Extract vs Guarana Seed Powder is essentially the same ingredient just labeled differently.
The main difference is Yohimbine vs Yohimbe. The active ingredient in Yohimbe bark extract is actually Yohimbine. While Yohimbe has a bunch of alkaloids, one of the main constitutes is yohimbine. So you’re still getting the benefits of yohimbine, just with some more alkaloids.
As a fat burner, China White is definitely more stimulated than Kush Rush. In fact, it actually models early bodybuilder trends for weight loss with the ECA (Ephedra, Caffeine, and Aspirin) stack. Although China White doesn’t contain Phenibut, it isn’t void of mood-boosting ingredients. China White contains Rhodiola Rosea, an adaptagen know to help reduce stress. The effects of this ingredient wouldn’t be noticeable right away like Phenibut. But usage of Rhodiola Rosea doesn’t have the side effects that are associated with Phenibut. So you could use it on its own for longer.
Overall we would suggest China White for someone looking for a stronger, well-rounded fat burner. It is heavier on the stimulants over all the products mention in this post, so we wouldn’t suggest it for stimulant sensitive people.
Far Beyond Driven
- Caffeine Anhydrous
- Phenibut
- Green Tea Extract
- Guarana Seed Extract
- Yohimbine HCL
- Rauwolfia Vomitoria
Lastly, we have Far Beyond Driven, which is also made by Psycho Pharma. When you look at the ingredient list above, every ingredient matches Kush Rush. The only differences are with the dosages. Because both products are proprietary blends, we can’t be sure of which ingredients different. But we do know that Far Beyond Driven is more stimulant oriented. So we expect the Phenibut to be decreased. You’ll still get that “feel good” effects from it, but not as much as in Kush Rush.
