Once upon a time, we had DMAA in supplements and the fitness world was a happy, gainful place. As a result of some court cases between the manufacturers and the FDA, DMAA was gone. Why The Change ?

As we mentioned before, the FDA and DMAA have been going in and out of the courts since around 2015. Currently this means that manufacturers, like Hi-Tech, can’t produce this ingredient in their products. So the products once containing DMAA are being revised without it.

The Old:

The original formula of Lipodrene was marketed to target fat burning in 3 ways. This was known as the Advanced Lipo-Catabolic System. Basically what this entails is that the combination of natural herbs and lipotropics not only help burn fat, but they also help control sugar craving cravings, and suppresses your appetite. Because Lipodrene was and is a proprietary blend, we can’t be sure how much of each ingredient is in it. However the formula doesn’t appear to have been changed very much. Below we have the changed ingredient highlighted.

What the old formula had, that the new lacks includes;  Acacia Rigidula Extract, 150mg of Phenylethylamine Alkaloids, B-Phenylethylamine, R-Beta-Phenylethylamine, Phenylethylamine HCL, and finally 1,3 Dimethylamylamine HCL (DMAA).

The New:

The new formula has a few changes that we’re going to discuss. Firstly, lets go over the different ingredients in the formula. So what we have in this formula is Senegalia Berlandieri Extract, 225mg of Phenylethylamine Alkaloids, Phenylethylamine, N,N-Dimethylphenethylamine, and Theophylline.

The Break Down:

Okay so now were going to go toe-to-toe on what these ingredients are and what that means for the fat burner as a whole. Firstly, we have Senegalia Berlandieri Extract which is a intense stimulant. The extract is meant to increase energy, suppress your appetite while also providing a feeling of euphoria. Compared to Acacia Rigidula Extract, the compounds are actually very similar. Senegalia Berlandieri, also known as Acacia Berlandieri, is a related species of the Acacia Rigidula and share many of the same alkaloids. Because of this they share the same function. (1)

The Alkaloids

Next in the label is the Phenylethylamine Alkaloids. For starters the new formula contains 75mg more of these alkaloids. The next highlighted ingredients are B-Phenylethylamine and Phenylethylamine. B-Phenylethylamine and Phenylethylamine are actually the same alkaloid just written differently (many product ingredients are known under several names). Phenylethylamine HCL ( also known as PEA, R-Beta-Phenylethylamine or 2-Phenylethylamine) is used for many purposes. Among them include cognitive enhancement, mood improvement, weight loss, and as a focus aid. You can expect the same or similar benefits from the N,N-Dimethylphenethylamine because it is another alkaloid.†

Theophylline

Finally we have Theophylline. Theophylline is a methylxanthine derivative or 1,3-dimethylxanthine. What it does is boosts energy by raising the intracellular cyclic adenosine monophosphate or cAMP inside your body cells. The effect of cAMP is very important to cells. It can help cells take in the hormones glucagon and adrenaline effectively. Basically theophylline helps relax and open air passages in the lungs, making it easier to breathe while also stimulating both the rate and force of heart contractions. Because of these properties you get the fat burning proprieties normally associated with stimulants. Such that includes an energy kick, focus aid, appetite suppression and even some more mood boosting properties. (2)

What Can You Expect?

Now if you didn’t know there was change and had continued to use lipodrene without noticing a difference, you wouldn’t be alone. Most of our customers have reported that lipodrene is as effective as it was before.  So it would be safe to say if lipodrene was your favorite fat burner in past, it will still be now.   It does curve my apetite and no jitters. I take as i dicated in the bottle. Its only been two weeks since I started using them. I haven’t weighed myself so I am not sure if I have lost weight. At least my eating paterns have changes for the better. I eat on a schedule and cant over eat. (Posted on 3/17/2018)
